THe Woman of Valor Proverbs 31

A woman of valor who can find?

She is far more precious than rubies, The heart of her husband trusts in her...

She does him good and not harm All the days of her life

She rises while it is still night and provides food for the household

She opens her hand to the poor

and reaches out to the needy

Strength and dignity are her clothing

She opens her mouth with wisdom

She teaches the ways of kindness

She looks after the ways of her household

And is not idle

Her children rise up and and call her blessed,
And her husband praises her, saying
"Many women have done well, but you surpass them all."
Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, But a woman who reveres the Lord is to be praised.

In preparing Bible lessons for my daughter I searched the Bible for inspiration on character traits, values, morals, and wisdom that should be instilled upon my daughter as well as the young girls of our country. Not so surprisingly, I read Proverbs 31 for the first time and it really got me thinking on things I need to change to not only be able to teach this to my daughter but to also lead by an example. There are so many worldly issues, tribulations, and worries our young daughters are faced with every day due to our societies thinking, media outlets, and the culture the world has come to. It is so important to teach them what the Lord expects from them as a young girl, woman, wife, and so on.
